Our Spanish rescue dog was constantly disappearing into hedges or beyond chasing squirrels but he quickly learned to associate hedges with citronella and after just a few days he calmed down and turned his focus onto playing with balls and other dogs instead of running off. We did lose the transmitter (we think it went into a poo bin by mistake) and whilst it is not normally a replaceable item the customer services at Petsafe sourced us a replacement so 5 stars for them too!

I like the collars a lot, easy to use for two dogs. One broke after a few months. Seller immediately replace. Would buy again

My dog is obedient, I trust her and she trusts me. A big boerboel, such a playful and adventurous dog. This collar has helped me keep control of her from straying in the park whilst pursuing her adventures :D

This item is excellent, it does exactly what it claims to do. We had a young dog who had excellent recall, unless there were any distractions! Wildlife were a particular problem, if she got a sniff of a deer or a rabbit she was off and no amount of shouting worked. We wanted a dog that we could walk off the lead and tried various training approaches but never had the confidence that they were foolproof. The citronella collar was recommended by a work colleague and although I was a little sceptical decided it was worth a try. It certainly was! We initially used it for basic recall with no distractions and it had immediate results. We very seldom now have to use more than the beep option. I was out one night and 2 deer appeared and I used the citronella and it stopped her in her tracks which was excellent. Out in the woods last week a horse and rider approached us and I recalled her without using the collar, but it is reassuring to know it is there if you need it. The rider actually commented that it was nice to see a dog with such good recallI would recommend that if you purchase the collar you also make sure you have spare batteries, our batteries failed not long after we had the collar and we had no replacement batteries, also check that the collar is working each time before you go out....
