This is an incredible behavior modification tool for pets that is effective without being cruel. It can be used to curb all manner of problematic behaviors, such as running off, excessive barking or aggression towards other animals, or eating rubbish on the side of the road! I am not a huge fan of the citronella scent but it is luckily not a lingering smell so we don't have to put up with it for very long, and it is far superior to the sound of our Jack Russel losing his mind every time he sees another dog walk past our house!!! It is a bit pricey but considering what it can achieve, the price tag is probably warranted....

My husband got this to help us train our very large German Shepherd puppy and it does seem to be helping. It is nice to have several different settings and it is easy to make the collar larger or smaller. I don't think it is a cruel thing to do if it is used properly and only during training sessions. I would recommend it!
