Very pleased with the training collar , it seems to be transforming our cocker spaniels behaviour. She is very scent driven and will run off after a pheasant, deer , rabbit scent while ‘deaf’ to the whistle etc. And go missing for sometime. We have found just a ‘ting’ with the collar bell will re focus her attention on us. Have been using it successfully in all the areas she has run off before , with a 10 metre trailing lightweight longline for extra security. Have now been able to shorten the line to 5 metres and plan to keep gradually cutting it shorter. You have to watch very carefully to ‘ting’ just as she picks up the scent or strays too far away. It may take a while as without the feeling of the collar and line on she reverts to her previous behaviour at the moment....

Excellent tool, I couldn't find a way of getting …

Bought this for training my dog (retriever) off the lead. The unit is easy to use and 1/2 the price of the leading competitor, which I have also owned.

An excellent training aid - and we find that we hardly ever have to use the 'squirt' function. One beep is sufficient to curb barking, improve recall etc. Great!

This collar has changed my life . I was struggling with my dogs behaviour when taking him out for a walk. He would bark and loung at other dogs and certain people. It was becoming extremely challenging to take him out for a walk. Since I purchased this collar it has dramatically changed my dogs behaviour when out walking. He is much calmer and it has certainly stopped him lounging and barking at dogs and people. Thank you PetSafe for the invention of this fantastic collar.J Dalzell

We have no complaints about the quality or usefulness of these collars, and we consider the price to be well within reason. We only use the "beeper" for our Doberman, and she responds beautifully. Our batteries last two to three days. Using a "shock" function might use up the battery charge much faster -- can't speak to that as a "shock" seems counter-intuitive considering our dog's temperament. Have used these collars for about one and a half years -- the dog still responds to a corrective "beep" the same as she did Day 1, so we are happy with the results we get. Of course, the collar has to be used in coordination with verbal and gestured directions and we use small training treats as rewards, so we see this collar as being one element of our training program, but we've come to see it as an essential element overall. If you need to make corrections at a distance, as we do when our dog is in the backyard or even in another room of the house, this will let you do that. Happy owner, happy dog....
